Fight Cancer with Irwin & Dr. Jean: Cancer Navigation & Advocacy
The Hard Truth About a Cancer Diagnosis
When cancer hits, the fight isn’t just medical. The real battle is cutting through the fog, knowing what to do, and knowing what NOT to do.
In July 2022, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 non-Hodgkin lymphoma with a fist-sized tumor in my chest. After six rounds of chemo and achieving remission, I relapsed in April 2023 with a tumor behind my eye, landing in a broken radiotherapy ward in HKL and an isolation unit with Covid.
By the grace of God and the medical guidance of my wife, Dr. Jean, I survived twice.
But along the way, we saw firsthand how terrifying and confusing the healthcare system is for families. Money helps access treatments, but money alone does not give you clarity. Patients get lost in medical jargon, contradictory internet advice, and emotional panic.
We started this initiative to make sure no family has to walk through that dark valley alone.
How Me and Dr. Jean Help
We do not sell false cures, make unevidenced promises, or contradict your oncologists.
Instead, we bridge the gap between clinical science and lived survivor experience through FightCancerWithIrwinAndDrJean.com. Dr. Jean brings medical rigor and clinical understanding, while I bring the practical perspective of someone who has sat in the chemo chair and fought from the edge.
